- 2 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tbsp hot sauce
- 2 cups crushed Takis Fuego
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp chipotle paste
- 1 tsp lime juice
- 2 brioche buns
- Pickles, lettuce (optional)
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken in buttermilk, hot sauce, and seasoning for 2–4 hours.
- Make spicy mayo with mayo, chipotle, and lime. Chill until ready.
- Crush Takis Fuego into coarse powder and mix with flour and cornstarch.
- Coat the chicken well. Double dip for a thick crunch.
- Fry at 350°F for 6–8 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
- Toast the buns, spread the sauce, and build your sandwich.
Notes
Let the coated chicken sit for 10 minutes before frying to help the breading set.
